Platform beds are designed to be used without a foundation or boxspring.  Platform beds are most commonly used with a set of slats to support a memory foam or inner coil mattress. Platform beds come in Twin, Full, Queen and King sizes and can be made of leather, fabric, wood or composite materials or any combination of the above.
